Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need a Photo ID to wine taste or purchase wine? Yes, we do require a valid and current photo ID with Date of Birth for tastings and purchases. No one under the age of 21 is permitted by law to purchase or consume alcohol anywhere on our property.
What are your hours of operation? April thru October we are open Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Friday-Sunday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. We have winter hours for November thru March. Please check back for those times as they may change.
Are we pet friendly? Yes, well behaved and leashed pets are welcomed on our deck and grounds. Weather permitting, outside tasting bars will be set up on the weekends to accommodate those with pets.
Do you need an appointment for tastings? No, only group tastings of 8 people or more require a reservation. You can email email@example.com for a reservation. Group tastings are $16 per person.
Do we have space for Limo/Bus? Yes, our parking lot is large enough to accommodate buses and limo’s of all sizes.
Are we family friendly? We are a family run business with many grandchildren of our own. Please feel free to bring your children.
Do we offer winery tours? Tours of our 20,000 sq ft. tasting and wine-making facility are available on Saturday’s only at 11:30 a.m. No reservations required. $25 per person includes a personalized tour and a tasting flight of 7 wines. What is your food policy? Outside food is permitted anywhere on the property. We also offer a collection of cheeses, meats, spreads, and bread for purchase.
Can you bring beer or other alcohol? No, ABC laws strictly prohibit other forms of alcohol or wines other than what is sold by Blue Valley Vineyards & Winery.
Is smoking allowed? Yes, we have a designated smoking area on the property. We also sell Cigars on-site in the tasting room. E-cigarettes are only permitted in designated smoking areas.
Can you bring your own music? Unfortunately we can not accommodate personal music systems at this time. We normally host live music onsite on Saturdays and Sundays from May to September.
Do you allow open and/or concealed carry? Per Virginia State Law, section 18.2-308. “Personal Protection” you may NOT consume alcohol while carrying a concealed weapon, and our business policy also PROHIBITS alcohol consumption while carrying openly as well. This applies to private citizens as well as off-duty Federal, state and local law enforcement officers. If you want to enjoy our wines, please leave your weapon secured in your vehicle.
