If you’ve never enjoyed a wine tasting before, you’re in for a real treat, and if you’d like to get a behind the scenes look at our winemaking process, that can be arranged as well. Our wine tastings are offered year-round and pair good food with our exceptional Blue Valley wines, which have won many awards and counting!
Do you enjoy good music? If so, we can accommodate that too! We host area musicians on a regular basis, so if you’d like a bit of musical accompaniment during your afternoon with us, be sure to check out our event calendar and incorporate it into your plans. Although we are open during most holidays, we are closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Blue Valley is one of only a handful of family-owned and operated Virginia vineyards. Our family has a tradition of winemaking in Greece that spans three generations and more than twenty years ago, we purchased a large portion of the John Marshall estate and decided to bring our winemaking traditions to the Shenandoah Valley.
It took time and patience to transform the estate into the winemaking haven it is today, and the results have been spectacular and beyond even our wildest expectations. When you come to spend the day with us, you’ll find innumerable fabulous vistas to explore, in addition to sampling the wines themselves!
In addition to exploring the grounds of our Virginia vineyard, if you’re planning a social event, wedding, or corporate gathering in the near future and are looking for an interesting venue, we have several fantastic spaces available. These range in size from being able to accommodate 40 to more than 200 guests, so whatever the size of the event you’re planning, we’ve got spaces that can accommodate you. Here’s just one example:
The Heritage Room
This space offers a little bit of everything: A sweeping view of our winery on one side, breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the other, high ceilings with skylights and beautiful chandeliers overhead and a big, cozy stone fireplace.
In addition to that, the room offers access to the Sunset Terrace, giving you the option to move things outdoors if the weather permits and the mood strikes. This space can accommodate up to sixty guests, so if you’re planning a large wedding, it may not be enough space, but for small to medium-sized events, it’s absolutely perfect.
