Our breathtaking winery is one of only a handful of family owned and operated wineries in the state of Virginia and in the more than two decades we’ve been in the business, we’ve quietly grown to become on of the premier outdoor event spaces near Washington DC.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our winery was once part of the John Marshall estate, who served as the fourth Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, so the area is not only rich in historical significance, but it offers unparalleled views and makes for a perfect setting for just about any kind of event.
Setting alone, however, is not enough, which is why we’ve carefully cultivated a number of venue spaces that make the perfect compliment to our outdoor event space near Washington DC. Here’s a quick overview of a few of the spaces we offer:
The Celebrations Room
Capacity: 200+ guests
This vast, elegant space has a lot to offer and is the ideal choice if you’re planning a large event with lots of attendees. Among other things, it boasts not one but two bars, both made from 200-year old oaks harvested right on the property, then hand-made by Yianni Zissios.
The room is filled with expansive glass windows that offer spectacular mountain views, and you’ll find a trio of flat screen TVs if you’d like to incorporate audio and video into whatever sort of event you’re planning. In addition to that, you’ll find a cozy fireplace, fun Bistro lights and high ceilings with exposed wooden beams that give the room both elegance and charm.
Capacity: 120 guests
Given the loft’s second floor perch, it offers even more spectacular and panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the room’s numerous windows. In addition to that, the space sports a large marble fireplace which draws the eye and is sure to be one of the more popular places your event attendees will gravitate toward.
Additionally, you’ll find gorgeous chandeliers and a highly customizable space that can be tweaked to suit most any occasion. If you have an exceptionally large event planned, we recommend booking both the Loft and the Celebrations room together, as the Loft overlooks the Celebrations room.
If you need something slightly less expansive, we’ve got two other great options to consider:
The Traditions Room
Capacity: 80 guests
This space has a vast number of windows which gives it a bright, airy feel. The Traditions Room also offers direct access to our spacious veranda, which gives it a great indoor/outdoor feel that provides unforgettable views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the veranda side, while offering a lovely view of our vineyard from the opposite side. You may even catch sight of some of our farm animals as they meander across your field of view. A lovely room decorated in an understated traditional style that is a perfect compliment to our outdoor event space near Washington DC.
The Heritage Room
Capacity: 60 guests
The Heritage Room is slightly smaller than our Traditions room, which makes it a fantastic choice for a smaller gatherings. The room features an absolutely stunning stone fireplace, beautiful chandeliers and skylights to give it an airy feel. The windows on one side offer an unforgettable view of the Blue Ridge Mountains while the other offers a view of the vineyard itself.
Even better, this space has direct access to our Sunset Terrace so your guests can move the festivities outdoors if they’d like to and the weather permits. A wonderful, cozier space that provides a nice contrast to some of our more expansive rooms.
In addition to the spaces described above, we also have two more rustic venue spaces: The Barrel Room and the Cave. Both are well worth considering depending on the kind of event you have in mind.

If you’re planning to come during the winter season, which runs from December through March, our hours of operation are:
- Monday through Thursday: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday through Sunday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
