Companies of all shapes and sizes host retreats and other gatherings on a pretty regular basis.  Whether it’s a meeting of regional managers, a conference on a particular industry-specific topic, or a team-building exercise, there’s a steady need for venues away from the corporate office.  A place to meet, make connections, study, or just to get away for the day.

Most of the time, such get-togethers are done in hotel convention rooms.  It’s easy to understand why.  Hotels with such facilities are always located either in the center of major cities or in areas where there is easy access thanks to the proximity of highway access or major state roads.

If you’re looking for something a bit different in terms of your next Virginia corporate event venue, have you considered a winery?  If not, we’d like to suggest Blue Valley as an option.  We’re one of only a handful of family-owned and operated wineries in the state and although we’re a little off the beaten path, we’re still quite easy to get to, and our venue spaces are not only well-appointed, but they also offer world-class views you just can’t get at a boring hotel in the center of town.

More than twenty years ago, we purchased a significant portion of an estate that once belonged to the fourth Chief Justice of our nation’s Supreme Court.  In that time, we’ve lovingly converted the land we purchased into the winery it is today and our family experience and tradition with winemaking has seen the wines we produce earn more than 24,000 awards and counting!

If you’re undecided or on the fence about using our facilities for your next Virginia corporate event venue, we invite you to come out and spend the day with us!  If you’ve never enjoyed a wine tasting before, or if you have, but it’s been a while, know that we host them year-round, and it’s a great way to get a firsthand look at the facilities we offer while simultaneously enjoying sampling some of our wares paired with delicious food.

To help plan your afternoon with us, the vineyard’s hours of operation are as follows:

Peak-Season Hours – April through November:

  • Monday through Thursday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday through Sunday: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Off-Season Hours:

  • Monday through Thursday: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday through Sunday: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Although we are open during most holidays, although we are closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the Virginia corporate event venue spaces we have to offer:

The Celebration Room

We use this space as our main wine tasting room, but we do make it available for others if you’re planning a larger event where there will be a number of attendees.  With a capacity of more than two hundred, it’s big enough for almost any function or event you’re planning.

It’s tastefully decorated, sports Bistro lights and a pair of hand-crafted bars made from two-hundred-year-old oak harvested from right here on the property and it has a lovely fireplace to boot!  You’ll also find a trio of large flat-screen TVs if you need them for a presentation you’re planning to give to the people attending your event.

Best of all, the room’s numerous large windows offer a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing an unforgettable backdrop for whatever type of event you’re planning.  The Celebration Room is one of our most popular and often used venue spaces!

The Loft

This one’s on the second floor.  On one side, it overlooks the Celebration Room we just talked about, and on the other, the large windows offer a fantastic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

It also features chandeliers that are both unique and beautiful and has a gorgeous marble fireplace that gives the room a character all its own.  With a capacity of 120, it’s the perfect fit for most types of events, but if you plan on having an exceptionally large number of attendees, you may want to consider booking both the Celebration Room and the Loft.

The Heritage Room

This space offers a little bit of everything:  A sweeping view of our winery on one side that may also treat you to a look at a few of our farm animals if they happen by, and stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the other.  It features high ceilings with skylights and beautiful chandeliers overhead and a big, cozy stone fireplace too.

In addition to that, the room offers access to the Sunset Terrace, giving you the option to move things outdoors if the weather permits and the mood strikes.

This space can accommodate up to sixty guests, so it may not be big enough for all corporate purposes, but for team-building exercises or a meeting of regional managers and the like, it’s absolutely perfect.
