Virginia is for lovers, but Virginia wines are for everyone, and at Blue Valley, we make some of the best wines you’ll find anywhere.
Who are we? We’re one of only a handful of locally owned and operated wineries in the state, and we’re proud to be part of the state’s winemaking tradition. We purchased a significant part of John Marshall’s estate—the Fourth Chief Justice of the nation’s Supreme Court—more than twenty years ago and have lovingly turned it into a winery, following in the footsteps of our ancestors who have been making wine for three generations.
The secret to the excellence of our fine Virginia wines and the reason they’ve won many awards to date comes down to two things: patience and attention to detail. The reason that Blue Valley has become such a popular tourist and day trip destination though, extends far beyond our delicious and refreshing Virginia wines. It also has a lot to do with the spirit in which those wines are crafted.
We’ve brought our winemaking experience from our ancestral home in Greece, transplanting them here in the Shenandoah Valley. We live by our Greek values which focus on unity, respect and hospitality, so when visitors come here from all across the state and the nation, they’re treated like family.

If you’d like to get a behind the scenes look at our winemaking process, we offer tours through our production facility as well, and if you’re planning a party or other social event, or you’re looking for a venue for your next corporate gathering, we have a number of spaces available for just such purposes. While you’re taking in the sights, it’s a great opportunity to walk through those venue spaces and get a firsthand feel for them.
On top of that, we feature live musicians from the area at regular intervals, so if you’re interested in some musical accompaniment to the day, be sure to check our event calendar for music and other events you might be interested in and plan your visit accordingly.
