Family Owned Winery Tours near Washington, DC

Are you a wine aficionado?  Do you have friends who are?  If you answered yes to either of those questions and you’ve been considering gathering your friends together and enjoying winery tours near Washington DC, have you considered adding Blue Valley to the list of wineries you plan to visit?  We’d love to have you!

We’re one of only a handful of family owned wineries in the state of Virginia, and since we first opened our doors more than two decades ago, our wines have won many awards.  If you’d like to get a behind the scenes tour of how we do what we do, we offer guided winery tours of our production facility near Washington DC which encompasses more than 20,000 square feet!

On top of that, a guided tour gives you the opportunity to get a firsthand look at the seven venue spaces we make available to anyone who has an interest in renting them for various purposes.  Among other things, our well-appointed spaces have been used for:

  • Exclusive and unforgettable parties
  • Corporate retreats and other events
  • Weddings
  • And more!

Each of the venue spaces we offer has a distinct aesthetic and we’ve worked hard to offer something for everyone.  We have spaces that are perfect for smaller, intimate gatherings capable of accommodating up to 40 guests, and we’ve also got large, expansive spaces that can play host to crowds of 200+ people, and of course, everything in between, so whatever your needs are, we’ve got you covered.

Of course, our winery tours near Washington DC are only one reason to consider paying our little slice of paradise a visit.  Blue Valley is located in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains and our winery was once part of a larger estate belonging to John Marshall, who served as the Fourth Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, so the area is brimming with historical significance in addition to boasting unforgettable views.

In addition to taking a tour, if you’re also interested in sampling some of our award-winning wines, we also offer wine tastings and have a delightful menu of great tasting food to go with it.  If you’re a music lover, know that we also regularly play host to local and regional musicians so if you’d like musical accompaniment when you come spend the day with us, be sure to check our event calendar before planning your trip out to see us.

Although we are open during most holidays, please note that we are closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Don’t hesitate to give us a call if you have any questions.
